This artwork by Liu Yujun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in June 2008. In the Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Chinese Untitled (Diptych) sold for EUR 15,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Yujun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans titre, which sold at auction in May 2008 for EUR 35,050.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Yujun erzielte im Juni 2008 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Chinese Untitled (Diptych) für EUR 15.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Yujun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans titre beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für EUR 35.050,00 versteigert wurde.
