Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Who Am I by Liu Wei was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 4,125,000.00 (€ 467,242.45), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Admittedly, works by Liu Wei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Revolutionary Family Series (Triptych) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 38,840,000.00 (€ 4,375,907.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Who Am I von Liu Wei kam im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 4.125.000,00 (€ 467.242,45) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Wei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Revolutionary Family Series (Triptych) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 38.840.000,00 (€ 4.375.907,70).
