Auction result well in line with expectations
The work You Like Me, Why Not? Series No. 33 by Liu Wei was sold in the REdiscovery Manfred Schoeni's Legacy auction at Bonhams in London in May this year. The price achieved of HKD 702,500.00 (€ 84,202.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Revolutionary Family Series (Triptych) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 38,840,000.00 (€ 4,375,907.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit You Like Me, Why Not? Series No. 33 von Liu Wei wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion REdiscovery Manfred Schoeni's Legacy bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 702.500,00 (€ 84.202,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 500.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Revolutionary Family Series (Triptych) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 38.840.000,00 (€ 4.375.907,70).
