This artwork by Liu Wei achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September this year. In the 10th Shanghai Auction Anniversary: 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction, the work Landscape no.1 sold for CNY 1,890,000.00 (€ 244,642.86) - well above the upper estimate of CNY 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Revolutionary Family Series (Triptych) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 38,840,000.00 (€ 4,375,907.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Wei erzielte im September diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 10th Shanghai Auction Anniversary: 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Landscape no.1 für CNY 1.890.000,00 (€ 244.642,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CNY 800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Revolutionary Family Series (Triptych) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 38.840.000,00 (€ 4.375.907,70).
