Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year China Guardian held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Van Gogh'S Painting(Executed In 2009) by Liu Wei. The price achieved of HKD 840,000.00 (€ 101,582.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 700,000.00 – 900,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Revolutionary Family Series (Triptych) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 38,840,000.00 (€ 4,375,907.70).
