Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hiding in the City #91, Great Wall by Liu Bolin was sold in the Photographs auction at Bonhams in New York in April 2021. It achieved a price of USD 10,837.50 (€ 9,008.73), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Admittedly, works by Liu Bolin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Hand in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 73,000.00 (€ 46,915.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hiding in the City #91, Great Wall von Liu Bolin wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Photographs bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 10.837,50 (€ 9.008,73) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Bolin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Hand im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 46.915,17).
