Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Cancer and Concussions by Lisa Tan was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,039.76). Admittedly, works by Lisa Tan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work First Love in July 2015 with an auction result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,440.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Cancer and Concussions von Lisa Tan im Dezember 2017 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.039,76) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lisa Tan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit First Love im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.440,70).
