Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ling Jian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Palace Servant 9 sold for HKD 1,940,000.00 (€ 201,544.18) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 650,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ling Jian; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Communist Sisters: Tears of Idealism No. 2 sold at auction in June 2008 with the realized price of GBP 163,250.00 (€ 206,353.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ling Jian erzielte im Mai 2010 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Palace Servant 9 für HKD 1.940.000,00 (€ 201.544,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 650.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ling Jian; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Communist Sisters: Tears of Idealism No. 2 im Juni 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 163.250,00 (€ 206.353,47).
