It achieved a price of HKD 800,000.00 (€ 83,111.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ling Jian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Communist Sisters: Tears of Idealism No. 2, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 163,250.00 (€ 206,353.47).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 800.000,00 (€ 83.111,00) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ling Jian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Communist Sisters: Tears of Idealism No. 2 beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 163.250,00 (€ 206.353,47) versteigert wurde.
