The »bidding war« ended at HKD 56,250.00 (€ 6,523.96), 41% above the upper estimate. Other works by Lin Zhimian have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,154.03) in April 2016 for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu.
