A top price for Lin Zhimian
This artwork by Lin Zhimian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu sold for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,154.03) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00. This high result makes Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu the most expensive artwork by Lin Zhimian that we have observed at auctions so far.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lin Zhimian erzielte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.154,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 35.000,00.
