Artwork auctioned at nine times the upper estimate price
The work Calligraphy by Lin Zhimian was worth HKD 74,750.00 (€ 7,093.39) to a buyer in October 2013. This price was achieved in the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 8,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lin Zhimian; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu sold at auction in April 2016 with the realized price of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,154.03).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Lin Zhimian war einem Käufer im Oktober 2013 HKD 74.750,00 (€ 7.093,39) wert.
