Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Focus IX B by Lin Tianmiao was sold in the Interiors auction at Christies in New York in August 2014. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 950.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Tianmiao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Initiator in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 967,500.00 (€ 79,734.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Focus IX B von Lin Tianmiao wurde im August 2014 in der Auktion Interiors bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 950,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Tianmiao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Initiator im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 967.500,00 (€ 79.734,23).
