Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Sothebys in Beijing held the auction Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art, which included the work Focus 28 by Lin Tianmiao. The price achieved of CNY 47,200.00 (€ 6,711.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Tianmiao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Initiator in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 967,500.00 (€ 79,734.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in Beijing die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Focus 28 von Lin Tianmiao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 47.200,00 (€ 6.711,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Tianmiao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Initiator im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 967.500,00 (€ 79.734,23).
