Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Interiors, which included the work Focus IX A by Lin Tianmiao. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 950.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Tianmiao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Initiator in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 967,500.00 (€ 79,734.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Focus IX A von Lin Tianmiao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 950,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Tianmiao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Initiator im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 967.500,00 (€ 79.734,23).
