Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Bonhams held the auction Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale, which included the work Mountains and Lakes by Lin Shu. The price achieved of HKD 19,125.00 (€ 2,166.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Shu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 70,780.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Bonhams die Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountains and Lakes von Lin Shu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 19.125,00 (€ 2.166,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Shu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 70.780,13).
