This artwork by Lin Shu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December 2020. In the Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale auction, the work Mountain Dwelling sold for HKD 21,675.00 (€ 2,286.24) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Shu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 70,780.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lin Shu erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale wurde die Arbeit Mountain Dwelling für HKD 21.675,00 (€ 2.286,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Shu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 70.780,13).
