Upper estimate price exceeded by 60 %.
In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Landscape by Lin Shu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 47,880.00 (€ 5,684.38), 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Shu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 70,780.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Lin Shu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 47.880,00 (€ 5.684,38) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Shu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 70.780,13).
