Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Landscape by Lin Shu. The price achieved of HKD 14,160.00 (€ 1,594.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Shu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 70,780.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Lin Shu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 14.160,00 (€ 1.594,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Shu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 70.780,13).
