Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bird Under A Banana Leaf by Lin Shu was sold in the The Chew Family Collection of Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,261.36). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Shu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 70,780.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bird Under A Banana Leaf von Lin Shu wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion The Chew Family Collection of Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.261,36) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Shu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 70.780,13).
