Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2002 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Leading to the terrace, Penshurst Place, Kent by Lilian Stannard. The price achieved of GBP 3,055.00 (€ 4,994.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Other works by Lilian Stannard have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2001 the work Leading To The Orchard was auctioned for GBP 4,935.00 (€ 8,198.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leading to the terrace, Penshurst Place, Kent von Lilian Stannard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.055,00 (€ 4.994,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Lilian Stannard konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2001 die Arbeit Leading To The Orchard für GBP 4.935,00 (€ 8.198,02) versteigert.
