Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2007 Christies in London held the auction Christopher Wood A Very Victorian Eye, which included the work The terrace water garden by Lilian Stannard. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,269.50) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Other works by Lilian Stannard have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2001 the work Leading To The Orchard was auctioned for GBP 4,935.00 (€ 8,198.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christopher Wood A Very Victorian Eye durch, in der auch die Arbeit The terrace water garden von Lilian Stannard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.269,50) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Lilian Stannard konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2001 die Arbeit Leading To The Orchard für GBP 4.935,00 (€ 8.198,02) versteigert.
