Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work An ornamental garden with a lily pond by Lilian Stannard. The price achieved of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,060.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Lilian Stannard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Leading To The Orchard in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 4,935.00 (€ 8,198.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit An ornamental garden with a lily pond von Lilian Stannard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 937,50 (€ 1.060,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lilian Stannard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Leading To The Orchard im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.935,00 (€ 8.198,02).
