Auction result well in line with expectations
The work H.M.S. Britannia Being Towed Out Of Portsmouth Harbour; And Fishermen At Low Tide, With Hulks At Anchor In The Upper Reaches Of Portsmouth Harbour by Robert Strickland Thomas was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2015. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,638.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Strickland Thomas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The British fleet in action at Trafalgar, with Nelson's Victory heavily engaged; and After the close of the action in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 138,580.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit H.M.S. Britannia Being Towed Out Of Portsmouth Harbour; And Fishermen At Low Tide, With Hulks At Anchor In The Upper Reaches Of Portsmouth Harbour von Robert Strickland Thomas kam im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The British fleet in action at Trafalgar, with Nelson's Victory heavily engaged; and After the close of the action im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.500,00 (€ 138.580,35).
