A top price for Liang Shiqiu
The work Calligraphy by Liang Shiqiu was worth HKD 525,000.00 (€ 52,063.44) to a buyer in May 2013. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Liang Shiqiu that we have observed at auctions so far.
