Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year China Guardian held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Liang Shiqiu. The price achieved of HKD 14,400.00 (€ 1,845.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Shiqiu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 52,063.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte China Guardian die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Liang Shiqiu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 14.400,00 (€ 1.845,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Shiqiu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 52.063,44).
