In July 2020 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Paintingsthe online sale, which included the work Mountain Dwelling by Liang Boyu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 10,837.50 (€ 1,187.39), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Liang Boyu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Apricot Garden in Spring in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 86,250.00 (€ 8,879.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Paintingsthe online sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mountain Dwelling von Liang Boyu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 10.837,50 (€ 1.187,39) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Boyu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Apricot Garden in Spring im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 86.250,00 (€ 8.879,69).
