This artwork by Lian Liang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Bamboo, Rock and Bird sold for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,068.35) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lian Liang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Rock Amidst Lotus Pond sold at auction in November 2015 with the realized price of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 30,533.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lian Liang erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Bamboo, Rock and Bird für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.068,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lian Liang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Rock Amidst Lotus Pond im November 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 30.533,99).
