Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Li Zhongsheng was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 11,044.52). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Zhongsheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No. 31 in October 2001 with an auction result of TWD 6,237,500.00 (€ 200,448.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Li Zhongsheng im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 11.044,52) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Zhongsheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No. 31 im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von TWD 6.237.500,00 (€ 200.448,96).
