Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Li Yu could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale auction, the work Red Carp, 1878 changed hands for USD 573.75 (€ 517.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Yu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album Of Flowers, Birds And Insects in April this year with an auction result of HKD 108,000.00 (€ 110,289.13).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Yu konnte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale wechselte die Arbeit Red Carp, 1878 für USD 573,75 (€ 517,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Yu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album Of Flowers, Birds And Insects im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 108.000,00 (€ 110.289,13).
