This artwork by Li Yu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in March last year. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV auction, the work Album of landscapes and flowers, 1901 sold for USD 6,120.00 (€ 5,516.99) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Yu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album Of Flowers, Birds And Insects in April this year with an auction result of HKD 108,000.00 (€ 110,289.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Yu erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV wurde die Arbeit Album of landscapes and flowers, 1901 für USD 6.120,00 (€ 5.516,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Yu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album Of Flowers, Birds And Insects im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 108.000,00 (€ 110.289,13).
