Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Flowers And Birds by Li Yu was worth GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,752.91) to a buyer in November 2007. This price was achieved in the auction The Mu-Fei Collection of Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Li Yu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Album Of Flowers, Birds And Insects in April this year with an auction result of HKD 108,000.00 (€ 110,289.13).

Die Arbeit Flowers And Birds von Li Yu war einem Käufer im November 2007 GBP 11.250,00 (€ 15.752,91) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion The Mu-Fei Collection of Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Yu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Album Of Flowers, Birds And Insects im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 108.000,00 (€ 110.289,13).
