Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wish For Long Life No. 2 (Diptych) by Li Songsong was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,400,000.00 – 2,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 140,444.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Li Songsong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work National Geographic in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 562,860.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wish For Long Life No. 2 (Diptych) von Li Songsong wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.400.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 140.444,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Songsong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit National Geographic im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.750.000,00 (€ 562.860,72).
