Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New Building by Li Songsong was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. The price achieved of HKD 2,320,000.00 (€ 220,155.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000,000.00 – 2,800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Songsong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work National Geographic, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 562,860.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit New Building von Li Songsong wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.320.000,00 (€ 220.155,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.000.000,00 – 2.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Songsong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit National Geographic beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 5.750.000,00 (€ 562.860,72) versteigert wurde.
