Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction SO Contemporary Asia (Hirsch), which included the work Barbeque by Li Songsong. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 79,534.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Li Songsong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work National Geographic in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 5,750,000.00 (€ 562,860.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion SO Contemporary Asia (Hirsch) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Barbeque von Li Songsong zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 79.534,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Songsong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit National Geographic im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.750.000,00 (€ 562.860,72).
