In the Interiors auction, the work Things Fall Apart: Kanuri Woman (African Series); And A Companion Painting changed hands for USD 500.00 (€ 413.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lezley Saar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Things Fall Apart: Young Woman From Mali signed and dated 'Lezley Saar '99' (on the reverse) acrylic and fabric laid down on plywood in artist frame 24 x 18 in.
