In November 2019 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Arte Contemporanea, which included the work Scultura Con Gocce Rosseglazed Terracotta. by Leoncillo. The result of EUR 60,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leoncillo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande Mutilazione in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 969,000.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Arte Contemporanea durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scultura Con Gocce Rosseglazed Terracotta. von Leoncillo zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 60.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leoncillo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande Mutilazione im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 969.000,00.
