This artwork by Leonard Richmond achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2008. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work St Ives Harbour at Low Tide sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,505.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonard Richmond - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Near Le Puy, France, which sold at auction in November 2004 for GBP 7,767.50 (€ 11,173.51).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Leonard Richmond erzielte im Oktober 2008 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit St Ives Harbour at Low Tide für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.505,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonard Richmond mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Near Le Puy, France beobachtet, die im November 2004 für GBP 7.767,50 (€ 11.173,51) versteigert wurde.
