In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Port Isaac by Leonard Richmond. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,245.96) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Leonard Richmond have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Near Le Puy, France in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 7,767.50 (€ 11,173.51).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Port Isaac von Leonard Richmond zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.245,96) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonard Richmond auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Near Le Puy, France im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.767,50 (€ 11.173,51).
