Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Southern Railway. Royal Tunbridge Wells by Leonard Richmond was auctioned at Bonhams in London in February 2024. The price achieved of GBP 1,152.00 (€ 1,928.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Leonard Richmond have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Near Le Puy, France in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 7,767.50 (€ 11,173.51).
