Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,027.26). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonard McComb - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fish, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,547.55).

Die Arbeit Still life with figs von Leonard McComb kam im Juni 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.040,00 (€ 3.027,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonard McComb mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fish beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.547,55) versteigert wurde.
