Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Oranges, Provence by Leonard McComb for GBP 600.00 (€ 890.37). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Leonard McComb have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fish in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,547.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Oranges, Provence von Leonard McComb für GBP 600,00 (€ 890,37) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonard McComb auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fish im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.547,55).
