Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Room with Paintings by Leonard McComb. The price achieved of GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,613.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Leonard McComb have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fish in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,547.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Room with Paintings von Leonard McComb zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.402,50 (€ 1.613,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonard McComb auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fish im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.547,55).
