This artwork by Leonard McComb achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Olympia in March 2007. In the 20th Century British & Irish Art auction, the work Mornas Vancluse sold for GBP 4,080.00 (€ 6,005.29) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Leonard McComb; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fish sold at auction in June 2007 with the realized price of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,547.55).
