Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Landscape Near Orange by Leonard McComb was worth GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,948.18) to a buyer in March 2007. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British & Irish Art at Sothebys in Olympia and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Leonard McComb; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fish sold at auction in June 2007 with the realized price of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,547.55).
