This artwork by Leonard Freed achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in December 2011. In the Photographs Including Crossing America: Photographs from The Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part II auction, the work Harlem, 1969 sold for USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,624.99) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonard Freed - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected images from Police Work, which sold at auction in October 2016 for USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Leonard Freed erzielte im Dezember 2011 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs Including Crossing America: Photographs from The Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part II wurde die Arbeit Harlem, 1969 für USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.624,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonard Freed mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Selected images from Police Work beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.262,73) versteigert wurde.
