Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Leon Kroll could be acquired at Christies in New York in May 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Railroad Bridge, Hudson River changed hands for USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,556.13) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leon Kroll - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lower Manhattan, which sold at auction in June 2020 for USD 200,000.00 (€ 178,078.53).
