Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Song by Leon Kroll was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 10,907.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Kroll achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lower Manhattan in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 200,000.00 (€ 178,078.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Song von Leon Kroll kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 10.907,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leon Kroll erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lower Manhattan im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 200.000,00 (€ 178.078,53).
