In October 2004 Christies in New York held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work 'L'Aurore' or 'L'Aube arrachant les Ténèbres' by Léon-Henri-Marie Frédéric. The »bidding war« ended at USD 77,675.00 (€ 60,940.69), 55% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Léon-Henri-Marie Frédéric; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot La Dentellière Flamande (The Flemish Lace Maker) sold at auction in June 2020 with the realized price of USD 87,500.00 (€ 77,909.36).

Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'L'Aurore' or 'L'Aube arrachant les Ténèbres' von Léon-Henri-Marie Frédéric zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 77.675,00 (€ 60.940,69) und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Léon-Henri-Marie Frédéric; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit La Dentellière Flamande (The Flemish Lace Maker) im Juni 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 77.909,36).
