A top price for Léon-Henri-Marie Frédéric - as previously expected
The work La Dentellière Flamande (The Flemish Lace Maker) by Léon-Henri-Marie Frédéric was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 87,500.00 (€ 77,909.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, La Dentellière Flamande (The Flemish Lace Maker) is the most expensive artwork by Léon-Henri-Marie Frédéric that we have observed at auctions so far.
